Rachel Naber-Thomas has done photography since the early age of twelve. She was born and raised in Rochester, NY. Rochester is the home of George Eastman the inventor of flexible film photography. Naber-Thomas pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Photojournalism at Rochester Institute of Technology in 1991. After graduation, she worked for the Niagara Falls Gazette for five years. After working for the newspaper for five years, she started volunteering with adolescents. She decided to pursue a degree in Art Education in 2001. She went back to RIT for a Master's Degree. She now teaches at a local high school in southern Maryland.
